Spectraforms®Supports Encryption and Digital Signatures
Use Spectraforms® to digitally encrypt and sign all of your
forms and documents. In fact, you may find Spectraforms® document
management and encryption so effective, that you will use it to encrypt all
of your sensitive information even if forms are not included.
Encryption:
Did you know that information in most unencrypted files
can be read in Microsoft Notepad? Spectraforms® allows you to encrypt
files with password protection to provide secure form and document
management. Spectraforms® supports separate passwords to open the file
with read-only access, and to modify the file. Spectraforms encryption and digital signature systems
meets the requirements of government document processing. Spectraforms
uses the Microsoft Windows® Encryption System (Crypto API) to
provide encryption and digital signature support.
Spectraforms supports the following encryption algorithms:
- RC2 Block
- RC4 Stream
- DES
- Triple DES*
- Triple DES 128 bit key*
*Requires Microsoft
Enhanced Cryptographic Provider installed on Windows® for both
encryption and decryption.
Digital Signatures:
Digital signatures ensure that the document you created
remains unchanged, and tells others that you are the one that last modified
the document.
1. Obtain a digital signature certificate from a
trusted authority.
2. Complete your Spectraforms® forms (with embedded
documents), and digitally sign the file.
When others open the file, they will be notified that you
have digitally signed the file. If they make changes to the file, the
signature will be revoked (to prevent others from making changes, protect
the file with encryption and a password).
